I don't know how about you but I always feel a little blue around this time of the year. When I'm writing these lines it's raining outside and we're having a really chilly morning here. I can smell the autumn in the air and while I'm trying not to self sabotage my happiness by counting on a season to bring joy to my life I have to admit that, it's difficult to say goodbye to summer. I find this article very interesting about pre autumn depression by the way. Well, from next week I'll start updating my blog more often and that is something I'm actually looking forward...and when I think about soft cardigans, pretty jackets and splendid boots, I even feel a little excitement...how about you?

SIDE NOTE: Million thanks for the very nice comments about my photography post. Your support means a lot to me and I was so happy about your very detailed and observant comments. Thanks a lot again. There were some questions about my camera and lenses, please note that I will answer those questions very shortly.

Such a beautiful photo! I love Autumn, to me... it's not sad but more of relaxing and calm. Seeing the beautiful colors of leaves in red, yellow, orange (and some greens) is just a beautiful color combination to me.

Well normally I love the start of Autumn (or what passes for it here in LA) however this year it's different. It seems as if Summer has only just begun. As of last week I was still having to wear a scarf in the morning due to the Marine layer effect. Now June gloom is something all Angelenos are used to but August gloom?!

Well just these past few days the weather has finally heated up so I'll enjoy my Summer while it last.

Hi there, I have been gone for a couple of weeks so I must catch up on your posts! I know what you mean..we have only had total about 2 weeks of summer, never getting warmer than the 80's and now Fall is coming! But I do love the holidays that come with fall and winter, there is always so much fun to look forward to! Nice to see you back :D

Well I am waiting to say goodbye to Winter and welcome Spring, it's so strange to be on the other side of the world hearing about summer....it helps to get through a very wet, cold winter though.

Don't be glum, Evie. Think of all the beautiful colours of autumn and summer will be back next year! :)

I adore Autumn....it is the one season I look forward to most. My blues come when Winter approaches. Cold...and lack of the warm sun on my face...so depressing.

Happy Wednesday!

I agree, lately I've been feeling a little down myself and its because I know winter is around the corner and so is school. I love fall fashion but winter depresses me because I have to wear so much and unless we are indoors, no one can appreciate the outfits I have underneath all the layers. On another note I turn 21 in November so I guess I will look forward to that, but not without missing summer dearly. I love the sun and the warmth against my skin when I I'm in a tank top, shorts and flip flops.

I have mixed feelings going from summer into fall. I never want summer to end, but once it does? I'm so excited for sweaters and pumpkin everything. :)

Awww, I admit, I love Fall. Hot chocolate, layers of sweaters, etc. but at the same token, I find that I'm not as productive as I am during Spring and Summer months. Perhaps it is the light and sunshine that really makes a difference? I will have to stop by and read the article.

+ boots? Love! I cannot wait to get my hands on a new pair.

It's weird because Southern California has had such unpredictable weather. "June Gloom" seemed to linger forever, and this past week was the first time it felt like summer! Which is weird because I'm already looking forward to fall!

Love your posts, as always.

Oh darling I feel your pain. We just got warm and started summer! Everyone agrees it's going to be Indian Style through early Nov. so come to the Southern Cal. Coast for a visit and take those blues away.

And yes fall/winter fashion is my favorite so when I get blue about the weather I just start thinking about the clothes! xo
